During the peak of the pandemic in Malaysia, the medical system was on the verge of collapse. Medical staff had to take care of the patients who were diagnosed in hospitals, as well as the patients who were quarantined at home hence overlooking people who had close contact with the positive patients. Therefore, Penang State Health Department appointed Tzu Chi volunteers to help care for people who are quarantined at home, follow up their health status every day, and provide them with timely assistance.
