Nepal, a country 3700 kilometers away from Malaysia, is familiar to Tzu Chi volunteers from both Malaysia and Singapore.
Since April 28th, 2022, a total of 59 Tzu Chi volunteers from Malaysia and Singapore have travelled to Lumbini in seven trips, spending a total of 160 days there to experience personally the Buddha’s remorse over the extreme poverty and backwardness.
In order to actualise Bodhisattva in this world and to fulfil Master’s wish, Tzu Chi volunteers travelled thousands of miles to return to Buddha’s hometown, to turn around the lives of the impoverished people through Tzu Chi's four missions.
