Tzu Chi and the Nepal Health Environment and Climate Action Foundation (HECAF) collaborated to launch a 7-day training program for sewing cloth sanitary napkins. They guided women in Lumbini to sew these napkins as well as raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and safety. The cloth sanitary napkins will be distributed in schools to promote health education. Additionally, they will also serve as a source of income for women in future. With this acquired skill, women in Lumbini can shape the future they desire.
