A car accident brought consequent difficulties to Lee Siew Fun’s family. Lee’s husband was in a vegetative state and Lee lost mobility after an accidental fall. Knowing that Lee was unable to take care of herself, Tzu Chi volunteers helped her to clean her body without hesitation and sent her to a nursing home for recuperation. After Lee’s death, Tzu Chi volunteers continue to care for Lee’s teenage son.
