The Tzu Chi earthquake assessment team in Nepal began surveying the Beri Municipality, located near the epicenter, after arriving there the previous night. Volunteers discovered extensive damage to buildings, prompting residents to seek shelter in tents due to fears of aftershocks. Additionally, the local school is in a deteriorated state, with more than half of its aging classrooms rendered unusable.
